We want to give you a Free Gift!
God Himself has given us a free gift!
The question is...do we want it?
Eternal Life in Heaven is simply a free Gift from God?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His
only begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
                                    John 3:16

The God Who made us and loves us wants us to have Everlasting Life in
Heaven with Him.  In fact, He provides that Eternal Life as a free gift to us.
But as with any gift, it is only ours if we receive it.

So, how can we receive God's Gift of Eternal Life in Heaven?

1.  First, we must accept the fact that we are a SINNER:
includes you and me.

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"  Romans 3:10

"For all have sinned fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

2.  Second, we must understand that as a sinner, we owe a DEBT.

In fact, it is a debt we don't want to repay.

"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and
so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"
 Romans 5:12

"For the wages of sin is death."  Romans 6:23

3.  Third, we must believe that Jesus Christ has PAID our sin debt.

He did that when He died on the cross for our sins.  Note that He did not
die for "His" sins, or for our good things, but He died for our sins.  For the
things that we are ashamed of.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

"For Christ also suffered once for sins...that He might bring us to God..."
I Peter 3:18

Not only did He die for our sins, but He also rose again on the third day.  He
overcame death and the grave so that we too can have that same victory
by our confession of our Faith and trust in Him.

"...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was
buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures."

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

4.  Fourth, we must RECEIVE by faith what Jesus Christ did for us.

In receiving Christ, we trust Him to save us.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the
children of God, to those who believe in His name."
John 1:12

"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one
believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation...For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:9-13

To receive Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and to have the assurance
that we will spend Eternity in Heaven is as simple as a little prayer to Him!

All we have to do is sincerely pray a prayer similar to this:

(It does not have to be this one, but it must come from a sincere heart!)

"Dear God, I recognize and I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot reach
Heaven on my own.  I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay my sin debt
so that I can go to Heaven.  I also believe that He rose on the third day so that
we can have hope also.  I confess Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I want you
to help me to become the kind of person that you created me to be.  I pray all
this in Jesus' name.  Amen."

1. You need to tell someone what you have done.  God's word teaches us to not be ashamed
of Him or His Word.  When we receive a gift that literally changes our life, don't we want to
share it with everyone?

2. You need to be baptized.  This is the outward expression of your inward faith.  We believe
that God's word teaches baptism by total immersion under water.  The reason being is that you
are putting on Christ.  You are putting on a picture of Christ, which portrays what your faith
believes.  That is that Christ was buried and then He rose again from the dead.  We are to rise
to walk in a newness of life.  Which is a changed life.

3. You need to begin to have a personal quiet time with the Lord in prayer and in His Word.
God's word tells us that we need to renew our mind on a daily basis.  This does not mean that
we will need to be reborn again.  This simply means that we are to have a daily renewing of our
walk with the Lord.  We do that by continually reading His Word and growing in our knowledge
of Him.  We also do that in our daily praying to Him.  This helps us to get to know Him more as
well as His purpose and will for our individual lives!

4. You need to join and get involved with a Bible Believing church.  God's Word teaches us
that He gets glory in the church.  That should be one of the most important goals in our life, to
give God glory!  It is also in a church where we will gain the needed knowledge of his Word
that will help to sustain and strengthen us in our walk with Him.  Also a church is a place where
believers can fellowship together so that when one falls down another is there to pick them
up. Lastly, a church and her staff is another gift of God to His children so that they can become
equipped to carry out His desires here on earth.  Because of these reasons, we can see why
God commands us in His Word to not forsake our assembling together.

"If you have prayed this prayer and would like some more guidance on what to do next, simply
contact me or someone from the church and we will be more than happy to help you in your new
journey of life with Jesus Christ!  Until then, praying for you!"

Because of Him,
Pastor Jay
